*WU Campus - Rogers Music Center

The Willamette University Departments of Music and Theatre present Hauntcert, a Halloween-themed concert featuring the combined University Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble on Sunday, October 29th in Hudson Hall.

The orchestra will be in costume, as conductor Hector Aguero leads the performance of Halloween favorites from popular music, the classics, and film scores. Included on the program are Michael Jackson’s Thriller, Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain, Selections from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them, and the theme from Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky.  The concert, featuring guest and faculty performances throughout, starts at 3 p.m. and audience members are encouraged to wear their costumes.

Hector Aguero, conductor of the University Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, said audiences can expect a family-friendly, spook-tacular event that highlights the fun side of attending musical performances.

The concert continues a collaboration between the university’s theatre and music departments established last year during a Shakespearean themed season.
