Social Justice through Art, Advocacy & Activism: A conversation with artist Betty LaDuke and Guests

Event Description
Join us for a panel discussion exploring the roles art and activism play in raising awareness, creating social change, and advocating for justice. Topics discussed will include human rights, sustainability, and immigration within a local, national, and international context, with a focus on current events such as Standing Rock and DACA. Artist Betty LaDuke will present an artist's talk followed by a panel discussion. Joining LaDuke for the discussion is Native hop hop artist Scott Kalama (Warm Springs), aka Blue Flamez, and Willamette student and Native and Indigenous Student Union President Alexus Uentillie (Diné) '19.
