Event Description Feb. 3, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
College of Law — Room 201
Each year, the Willamette Law Review hosts a symposium dedicated to in-depth examination of a legal topic of current importance. The papers presented are then published in the annual symposium issue of the review. The 2017 topic is Equity in Health Law.
Equity in health law affects every person. Recent developments in federal law have expanded health associated protections to underrepresented and undeserved populations. This symposium will address various equity in health law issues, including: what employers must do to remain compliant with current and changing federal laws, the various conditions of receipt on healthcare administrators who receive federal funds, and the required adaptations of Coordinated Care Organizations.
