From February 15- March 15 the Sustainability Institute and Housing are working together to put on an energy competition between residence halls on campus to reduce the Willamette Campus' collective carbon footprint and to promote sustinable living. The residence halls on campus are metered to collect data on daily energy usage and we will use this information to update residents of their usage throughout the month. We created a facebook event page (Willamette Unplugged: Energy Competition) where you can view and receive updates on how each building is doing. Through this page, we will also be posting helpful tips on how to reduce energy usage and become more sustainable, along with marketing sustainable opportunities and events on campus. We will be promoting our weekly raffle on our facebook page where we will be giving away Rock Boxx day passes and Klean Kanteen water bottles. Keep an eye out at Goudy because we will be tabeling and advertising the competition in the upcoming weeks. There will be posters in the Bistro, Sparks, Goudy and other buildings on campus that will provide helpful information for the competition and tips for sustainable living.
