Event Image Works by Them, Words by Them (Multi-Day Event)
All Day

*WU Campus - Art Building

Part of Jordis Miller's Carson Grant project, this art display features both visual and written works from patients at the Oregon State Hospital in Salem. This project focuses on understanding art done by the mentally ill, known in the art world as Art Brut, Raw Art or Outsider Art. Specifically this project examines why the artist should be elevated in understanding this genre of art. By exhibiting art from the hospital on Willamette's campus, this project aims to bridge the gap between the two communities.

During 'Alá', the last 19-day month of the Bahá'i year, Baha'is between 15 and 70 years of age do not eat or drink from sunrise to sunset and set aside time for prayer and meditation.
