Career Strategies Boot Camp Saturday March 15th. Registration now open. (Multi-Day Event)

The Alumni Association, Career Services and the Office of Campus Life are hosting the first ever Willamette Career Strategies Boot Camp – March 15th 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM in the Alumni Lounge

This Boot Camp will help you:

  • Identify your skills employers seek
  • Organize a job search plan with objectives and deadlines
  • Employ a communication approach that is persuasive to employers
  • Improve your interviewing skills
  • Build your connections

Limited Space:  Only 50 spots available and they are likely to fill up fast!

Cost to attendees – The best $20 you’ll spend. Covers coffee, lunch and take home materials.

Register at the Career Services office (3rd Floor of the UC) M-F 8:00-5:00.

Registration requirement – Hard copy of your resume

Registration closes March 7th or when all slots have been filled.

Part of Jordis Miller's Carson Grant project, this art display features both visual and written works from patients at the Oregon State Hospital in Salem. This project focuses on understanding art done by the mentally ill, known in the art world as Art Brut, Raw Art or Outsider Art. Specifically this project examines why the artist should be elevated in understanding this genre of art. By exhibiting art from the hospital on Willamette's campus, this project aims to bridge the gap between the two communities.

During 'Alá', the last 19-day month of the Bahá'i year, Baha'is between 15 and 70 years of age do not eat or drink from sunrise to sunset and set aside time for prayer and meditation.

Join Best Buddies in celebrating Disability Awareness week as we Spread the Word to End the Word! We aim to remove the derogatory use of the words "retard" and "retarded" from Willamette's campus. We'll be tabling in Goudy all week; stop by to sign our pledge to use respectful language and get a free bracelet! Join us at events every night Monday-Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm to meet our Buddies, have fun, and learn more about individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Monday: Game Night--orange Tuesday: Open Mic (Cone Chapel)--purple Wednesday: Open Best Buddies Meeting (Smullin)--green Thursday: Arts and Crafts--yellow Friday: 2pm Rally, 3pm Raffle!--Bearcat colors Stop by our table in Goudy wearing the color of the day and get entered into a raffle!
Ash Wednesday


Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the forty-day period (excluding Sundays) of prayer, repentance, and self-denial that precedes Easter.  Ashes, traditionally made by burning the palm fronds from the previous Palm Sunday, are use to mark worshipers as a sign of penitence.

Event Image Exhibition | "Keith Achepohl: If It Please You Lord"

Achepohl is a nationally recognized artist and Professor Emeritus of Art from the University of Iowa who lives in Eugene. During the past four years, he has created a series of remarkable images inspired by ex-votos. Organized by Director John Olbrantz, the exhibition features 40 mixed media works on paper and includes a selection of 19th- and 20th-century ex-votos from the artist's collection.

Whiting Tennis is a Seattle-based mixed media artist who merges interests in folk and Pop art with surrealism in his artworks, which include paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, and collages. Often derived from doodles and automatic drawings, his art combines Western landscapes, lonely forms, and dilapidated buildings to create a distinctly American narrative. Organized by Collection Curator Jonathan Bucci, the exhibition will feature a range of work from the past 10 years.

In observance of the beginning of the Christian season of Lent, Chaplain Karen Wood will lead a worship service of prayer, singing, readings, and the imposition of ashes.
