Event Image Exhibition | "Keith Achepohl: If It Please You Lord"

Achepohl is a nationally recognized artist and Professor Emeritus of Art from the University of Iowa who lives in Eugene. During the past four years, he has created a series of remarkable images inspired by ex-votos. Organized by Director John Olbrantz, the exhibition features 40 mixed media works on paper and includes a selection of 19th- and 20th-century ex-votos from the artist's collection.

On this April Fools Day, Stephen Patterson, Atkinson Professor of Religious and Ethical Studies, will talk about recent hoaxes from the world of archaeology, how they were exposed, and how to tell the "real deal" when it shows up.

Dr. Patterson is an historian of religion specializing in the beginnings of Christianity. His research and writing have focused on the Gospel of Thomas, Q, and various aspects of the historical study of Jesus.

Join us on for a lively brown-bag seminar and discussion. Bring your lunch or purchase it at the Cat Café.

Taizé Worship Service
7:30 PM - 8:30 PM

*WU Campus - Waller Hall

This prayer service - led by musicians from St. Paul's Episcopal Church in the tradition of the Taizé community of southern France - includes chant, singing, readings, and prayer. The mood is meditative and reflective and everyone is welcome.
