Event Description
Shaka Senghor, writer, lecturer, and former prisoner, will present a public talk on Wednesday, April 26th at 7pm in Cone Chapel. He has a very compelling story of drug dealing, murder, prison and redemption. Senghor now does outreach to troubled youth in Detroit and throughout the Midwest. Now a Director’s Fellow at the MIT Media Lab, Senghor has collaborated on solutions for distressed communities. Shaka has written six books, been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey, and has a TED talk with over a million viewers. His memoir, Writing my Wrongs was published in 2013.
