In conjunction with the exhibition Tom Prochaska and Christy Wyckoff: In the Footsteps of Charles Heaney the Hallie Ford Museum of Art is pleased to present an conversation with Oregon artists Tom Prochaska and Christy Wyckoff.

In September of 2014 Prochaska and Wyckoff set out to follow in the footsteps of artist Charles Heaney (1897-1981), who was a significant mid-20th century Oregon artist known for his paintings and prints inspired by the landscape and settlements of Central, Eastern, and Southern Oregon as well as Nevada.

Prochaska and Wyckoff will share more about their recent road trip where they traveled, camped and made their own art at various places identified in Heaney’s works.

“Although Heaney was on our minds as we worked at sites connected to him,” Wyckoff explains, “we primarily responded in our individual ways to the landscape in front of us rather than making ‘art about art.’”

Students are encouraged to attend! https://www.facebook.com/events/831086880313852/ Did you know a 3rd tower fell on 9/11? On September 11, 2001, World Trade Center Building 7 (WTC 7) –a 47-story building NOT hit by an aircraft–collapsed at 5:20 in the afternoon. It collapsed symmetrically in less than seven (7) seconds at measured free-fall acceleration for over 8 stories or over 100 feet for 2.25 seconds. This fact was finally admitted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) when pressed by public review; however, they continue to ignore the implications of a “no resistance” free-fall through –what at least once was– the path of greatest resistance.
