Event Description
Filmmaker Raoul Peck’s Best Documentary Oscar nominee I Am Not Your Negro uses James Baldwin's unfinished book Remember This House to tell a story of race in America. At the time of Baldwin’s death in 1987, he had only completed 30 pages of his manuscript. The book was to be a personal account about three of his closest friends – Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr.

Join Omari Weekes, assistant professor of English and American ethnic studies, for a screening and discussion.
