Event Image No One Else Can Play Your Part
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

*WU Campus - Outside

September 10th 2014 is World Suicide Prevention Day. So join us in bringing the discussion to Willamette by reminding each other that nobody is alone, and there is always a better day to come. Reminding each other that nobody else can play your part, nobody else can fill your spot in the world. Pledge to help others, and to be a support on days when someone may be wavering. We will start with a brief speech and discussion about awareness and sources to turn to for healing and help. We will then also have candles for you to light in honor of someone you know who is struggling with depression, is a survivor of someone who has died by suicide, or who has already passed. Or, simply to light a light, to tell someone "I'm here for you." We will also have a poster for you to sign that is a combination of the "No One Else Can Play Your Part" and the "Because I Said I Would" campaigns where you can make a commitment to make a difference. Questions? Contact Lindsey Briscoe or Cassandra Peden. OR: Visit the following websites: https://www.afsp.org/understanding-suicide/facts-and-figures http://twloha.com/blog/no-one-else
