Exploring Culturally Relevant Curricula in Salem-Keizer with Curtis Acosta

Event Description
Join Willamette alumnus ('94) and award-winning educator Curtis Acosta for a presentation about and discussion of culturally relevant curricula in the Salem-Keizer School District. Dr. Acosta was an English teacher from the nationally renowned and recently terminated Mexican American Studies program in Tucson, Arizona and is now an education consultant. This event seeks to engage the broad community of Willamette students and faculty, the Salem-Keizer School District, Willamette Academy and folks from local government. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
