Smith Auditorium

This 20th century masterwork, performed with two pianos and percussion, is a song cycle about the return of spring, fate and love. One of the most popular pieces of the classical music repertoire, the music is often heard on soundtracks for film and commercial backgrounds. The chorus will be joined by the Willamette University Dance troupe with choreography by Professor Michele Ainza. Soloists are Anton Belov, Dan Morrill and Kurleen Nowickas.

The Willamette Master Chorus is the mid-valley’s premier auditioned choral ensemble and includes 75 veteran professional and dedicated amateur musicians. Through the leadership of Artistic Director, Dr. Paul Klemme, the chorus brings to area audiences the finest in choral masterworks from the Renaissance through the 21st century. The 2016-2017 season features four concerts: Veterans Concert (November), Joyful Holidays (December), Carmina Burana (February) and Sacred Music (May)
