End Date: 4/3/2017End Time: 5:30 PM

Event Description
Reformers a century ago faced the same exaggerated fear of active central government as exists today. A century ago, a watershed presidential election allowed progressives to finally triumph and America’s modern central bank, the Federal Reserve, was born. What are the parallels to the watershed election of 2016?

Roger Lowenstein is the author of numerous books, including the bestselling Buffett: The Making of an American Capitalist, When Genius Failed: The Rise and Fall of Long-Term Capital Management, While America Aged, Origins of the Crash, and The New York Times bestseller The End of Wall Street. America’s Bank: The Epic Struggle to Create the Federal Reserve is Mr. Lowenstein’s most recent work.
