Lecture and Performance | Cayla Skillin-Brauchle
Start Date: 4/14/2017Start Time: 5:00 PM
End Date: 4/14/2017End Time: 6:00 PM

Event Description
Assistant Professor of Art Cayla Skillin-Brauchle will introduce her exhibition "SUPER SPEED!" at 5 PM on April 14th in the Roger Hull Lecture Hall at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art. Drawing from field research in India, Skillin-Brauchle investigates the glossy appeal of speed and the reality when things actually move slowly.

The lecture will be followed by a reception in the Maribeth Collins Lobby and a performance in the Atrium Gallery by Skillin-Brauchle entitled "Groundwork/Groundswell." This new performance art piece ruminates on the labor and optimism required to enact political change.
