Legislative Redistricting: Past, Present, Future
Start Date: 4/19/2018Start Time: 9:00 AM
End Date: 4/19/2018End Time: 12:30 PM

Event Description
This spring, the U.S. Supreme Court will issue a historic decision in Gill v. Whitford -- the most-important, legislative-redistricting case in recent years. However, by the time the Supreme Court issues its decision, Oregon’s leaders and redistricting experts already will have started to contemplate cutting-edge approaches to Oregon’s district-drawing process. On April 19th, from 9:00am to 12:30pm in the Kilkenny Lecture Hall Willamette University’s Mudd Building, current Secretary of State Dennis Richardson, former Secretary of State Phil Keisling, and Oregon’s Solicitor General Benjamin Gutman will convene with redistricting experts Jowei Chen of the University of Michigan and Paul Diller of Willamette University in a public, educational event that contemplates the past, present, and future of redistricting in Oregon. Doors open at 8:30am -- be there!
