An Evening of Films with Imogen Cunningham
Start Date: 3/1/2016Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Date: 3/1/2016End Time: 9:00 PM

Event Description
Join us for a triple screening of a selection of some of the most important short films devoted to Cunningham. Introductory remarks will be provided by the exhibition curator, Dr. Abigail Susik. Our evening commences with Imogen’s debut acting role, a silent appearance in James Broughton’s counterculture romp, The Bed (1968). Next is the earliest documentary devoted fully to Imogen: John Korty’s thoughtful exploration, Imogen Cunningham: Photographer (1972). We will conclude with Ann Hershey’s 2011 intimate filmic portrait of the photographer, Never Give Up: Imogen Cunningham (2011).

Please note that some of these films contain images of nudity.

This event is offered in conjunction with the exhibition "For Myself": Nudes by Imogen Cunningham, 1906-1939 taking place at the Hallie Ford Museum of Art between Feb. 13 and May 1 in the Study Gallery and Print Study Center.
